The
ACLU:
For 75 years an 8-foot cross has stood at the Mojave
National Preserve. It is a memorial and a stark reminder to
the men who died serving this great country in WWI. Now it
is shrouded in plywood until the lawsuit brought by the
ACLU is settled. They want it taken down for two reasons:
1.) It is a cross and thus a symbol of Christianity and 2.)
It is on federal land. Never mind the fact that it
commemorates men, mostly Christians, who died by the score
fighting tyranny in the name of America. Now this group of
left wing anti-American zealots is slowly rotting away at
OUR country, and OUR heritage.
Why? Why must we embrace everyone else’s culture and
beliefs and not celebrate our own. I wonder if it the ACLU
would be making such a stink if it was a Muslim religious
symbol. Probably not. The ACLU is all about circle logic.
They want to remove God from the pledge of allegiance under
the guise of the separation of church and state, when all
they really want to do is ensure we don’t offend anyone who
is not a Christian.
Personally, I am agnostic and feel that religion causes
more problems than it solves. However I do respect others
religious choices and ideals. I am not an atheist and do
believe in god. I don’t worship and particular symbol or
deity, but I am also not about go around telling people
what to do and fight to have the symbols and words that
helped build, or attribute to the culture of the greatest
country on earth. The fact is that the brilliant men who
founded this country were all Christians or belonged to
faiths rooted in Christianity. As such, this is part of the
heritage of America as much as Islam is part of the
heritage of Iran, or Judaism a part of Israeli culture.
The ACLU is a liberal, left wing political group who wishes
to destroy our country from the inside out, and is using
the constitution as a shield. This should enrage everyone.
People still swarm to this country every day because of the
ability to be free, work hard, and realize the American
dream. However, it is all slowly changing. Thanks in part
to the lawyers at the ACLU who know what is best for me and
you, and who have money and political power backing them
from the highest corridors of power in the house and
senate. Now that we have a socialist in the White House,
things may get even worse.
They want our guns. They want our rights. They want to tell
us it isn't right to execute murderers. They know what is
best for us, our families and children, and they are
winning.
Stay strong men and do your part to keep our heritage and
our culture as American Men alive and well.
