Condor Tactical T&T Pouch Review
Condor Tactical T&T Pouch Review
By: Baru Arms
T&T Pouch is an alternative to an admin pouch. The T&T pouch would be used for squad leaders and command players who need a pouch that is a mini desk drawer while in the field. The pouch opens up to give quick access to maps, pens, knives, flashlights or any other tool that can be used on the go.
Features:
-This bag is approximately 10″ wide x 7.5″ tall x 1.5″ deep when closed.
-Has double stitching on the attachment/MOLLE straps.
-There are 4 MOLLE attachment straps on the back, so it can be secured to anything with MOLLE/PALS webbing.
-The T&T pouch has MOLLE webbing on the front for pouch stacking.
-It also has Velcro on the front for nametapes or patches.
-Has one internal sleeve, one zipper pocket, and multiple elastic keepers.
-Has a removable 7" x 12" vinyl sleeve for map or documents.
-Has two metal D-rings on the back.
Condor Got Wrong on the Pouch:
1. Elastic on the inside. It does seem as if this elastic will stretch out fairly easily and lose its elasticity. It's definitely lower quality elastic.
2. If I was going to use this in the field I replace the zipper with a MILSPEC quality zipper. If your life is on the line it pays to be picky.
Condor Got Right on the Pouch:
1. Double stitching!
2. The MOLLE strap is double layered and thick with plastic sewn inside. The top where it connects to the pouch is single layer to allow for flexibility.
3. The fact that you can pouch stack!
4. Strap with Velcro that secures the front flap to the pouch when closed. Just an extra safety feature that takes the outward pressure of pouch off the zipper, or would hold the pouch closed if the zipper fails for a short period of time.
5. The overall design…………..Extremely functional!
Overall Impressions
The T&T Pouch is a well thought out piece of equipment. If the pouch was taken to a rigger and had the elastic replaced and the zipper I believe you’d have a pouch that would last years in the field in either a military or LEO environment.
For the airsoft crowd, I don't think you'd have to change much on this pouch. I believe it would hold up to what you'd throw at it over a weekend.

Schrade Tactical Pen Review
Sharade Tactical Pen Review
By: Baru Arms

(Peoples views on Taylor Brands do not enter into the review I'm attempting to do. This pen isn't a copy of any design I have seen on the market).
Features and Specs:
1. Cap Screws On At BOTH Ends
2. Wasp-Waisted with Finger Grooves for Improved Grip.
3. Length: 5-7/8" closed, 6-3/8" open.
4. Thickness: 0.50" at center.
5. Weight: 1.50 oz
6. Color: Dark Red with Black Clip, and Black
7. Schrade logo etched nicely into clip.
8. Material: 6061 Aircraft Grade Aluminum.
9. Finish: Hard Anodized Type III.
10. Cartridge: Hauser of Germany refill. Black ink.
11. Made in Taiwan
The feature of this pen that I find to be excellent is the new design/look. Taylor Brands has toned down the tactical look of the pen. It falls more in the “Gray” area of life. The average person on the street isn’t going to look at the design and think anything of it. They are not going to identify that the pen is a weapon! Matter of fact, I’ve shown the red pen to 2 different females and they really liked it. Liked it enough to buy 2 of them for their own use – Both are professional, white-collar types!
The other feature that striking in its simplicity is that you are able to screw the cap on at BOTH ENDS of the pen. Why no one else has thought of this before now - I’ve no idea. LEO’s will love this feature! It allows the owner to use the pen as a weapon if it’s closed or if they are writing with it. You don’t have to worry about the cap popping off like the snap cap design Taylor did for the S&W M&P pen when you plunge it into someone’s suprascapular nerve area (not that I am recommending that type of use for the pen).
The fit, finish and anodizing is perfect and fits together nicely on the pens we have. Schrade states that the pen has type 3 hard anodizing. Excellent value for a pen that has a price point under $ 30.00!
Over all, they are a great deal for the price if you want a rugged, all metal, tough pen to EDC that won’t cost you a bunch of change and won’t set off alarm bells in the general public’s mind. Taylor Brands has a winner on their hands here!
